Autodesk Maya 2011 Hotfix 1 Released

If you have been using Autodesk® Maya® 2011 software you may want to check out the new Hotfix 1 update Autodesk have just released.  It will help improve the operation of the software and address some of the issues you may have been experiencing with the 2011 version.

The new update aims to resolve customer-reported issues and  includes these important fixes:

• Application crashes when navigating menus on 64-bit Mac OS® X operating system
• Viewport renderer plug-ins
• Refraction limit not respected when using mental images material
• Mental images Material Ambient Occlusion color bleed stopping the Final Gather bounces

    Thanks to all who expressed their interest in this. We've had an overwhelming response and actually had over 500 applications within 24 hours!

    We're just working through all these now and will be in touch with the successful applicants soon. If you were not able to get on this time we will be doing these again in the future so keep an eye out for announcements and of course there are still a few places on the full courses starting in October and January.
