Pixologic have just released ZBrush 4 and it looks like they have introduced some cool new killer features to make ZBrush even more artist friendly than before.
Free Tutorial from Brand New ZBrush Course
We’re really excited about this month’s free tutorial because it’s taken from our new soon-to-be launched ZBrush Course. This tutorial is great if you’re looking to up your ZBrush skills to an advanced level. It’s an in-depth tutorial that demonstrates how to use tools to create fine details, specifically ‘Wear and Tear’ on a pre-made Gas Mask model. Plus, it’s only 12 minutes long so you’ll be able to squeeze it into your lunch break.

On Monday August 9 ,2010 existing users will be able to upgrade FREE OF CHARGE! Updated versions of all major plugins, and GoZBrush support for Modo, Cinema 4D, 3DSMax and Maya for Windows and Mac systems.

We have good news for all users of Zbrush: the new ZBrush 3.5 update for Windows has just been released. It's called R3, and it has loads of new features and enhancements as well as a better toolset. If you are a registered user of Zbrush, you can download it for free here.

As I’m sure many of you are aware, last Friday saw the Avatar trailer hit cinemas around the world before its official release in December this year. James Cameron’s epic has caused much hype within the film industry lately, with many claiming the sci-fi movie has the potential to change the face of 3D cinema forever.

The games industry hogged the spotlight at this year’s SIGGRAPH. For the first time ever, two social games ran throughout the conference and SIGGRAPH’s annual CG showcase was spiced up with live games art and animation demos.
