Any professional CG artist will tell you that it takes a great deal of talent, patience and dedication to turn 3D into a career. There’s no denying it can also mean making a considerable financial commitment.

We understand that it’s not always easy to find the money to invest in your future, especially if you don’t have an income. Fortunately, there are alternative ways to fund your 3D training that we can help you access.

Skillset

Escape Studios works in partnership with Skillset to fund promising students who want to get into 3D but can’t afford formal computer graphics training. Skillset is the sector skills council for creative media, an industry body that supports skills and training for people working in UK industry.

Sometimes we are able to offer a limited number of partially or fully funded Skillset places on full-time classroom courses.

Skillset also offers student bursaries to part-fund online courses for people already working freelance or full-time in the UK industry. Click here for more information on how to apply for bursaries.

Charity

Training and education is well represented in the UK charity sector and there are several organisations that award money to creative people looking to develop their skills.
