The List of animated short being concidered for an Academy Award this year have been announced and it's a very interesting array of entires. Here they are:
- The Cat Piano(The People's Republic of Animation)
- French Roast (Pumpkin Factory/Bibo Films) Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty (Brown Bag Films) The Kinematograph (Platige Image) The Lady and the Reaper (La Dama y la Muerte) (Kandor Graphics and Green Moon) Logorama (Autour de Minuit)
- A Matter of Loaf and Death (Aardman Animations Ltd.) Partly Cloudy (Pixar Animation Studios)
- Runaway (National Film Board of Canada) Variete (il Luster Productions)
I've seen The Cat Piano (which is available online in it's entirety), A Matter of Loaf and Death (which was broadcast on BBC last Christmas time) and Partly Cloudy (in the theater in front of "UP"). The Rest I have only been able to find the trailers for, but they all look very interesting, espeically French Roast.
