Lee Danskin

Lee has enjoyed an incredible 18-year career working on high profile projects for some of the UK’s biggest FX studios. He even had a hand in creating Maya 1.0 – the 3D package that started it all.

After working at The Film Factory and VTR, Lee co-founded Smoke and Mirrors 3D, where he produced high-profile commercials as well as the title sequence for The World Is Not Enough. Lee subsequently served as Deputy Head of 3D at The Moving Picture Company, working on FX for the Tomb Raider film as well as a string of famous TV commercials, including the celebrated Sony Bravia ‘colour’ series and spots for Volkswagen, BMW, Shell Oil, and Guinness.

Lee’s groundbreaking work was recognised by the CG cognoscenti when in 2007 he was officially awarded the coveted title of Maya Master by Autodesk.

Lee joined Escape in 2006 and developed our VFX courses, which he continues to tutor alongside his role as our Training Development Director.
